News Jambalaya

The pace has finally picked up again for me, which is fantastic. The post-xmas season slump just kills me most years, and I am quite please about keeping a regular update schedule throughout.

And speaking of comic schedules! I’ve begun a new comic project for the UVic student newspaper, The Martlet. The new strip is called Ellipses, and is a little different from the Sketchy comic, both in art and story telling technique. Starting this week I’ll be posting it on StudioSketchy.com every Wednesday, so check it out!

And in other news, I’ve started a new job working the floor of a pet food/supplies retail outlet. Things are fairly quiet business-wise there at this time of year, which works for me as I try to soak up a ton of new and unfamiliar product knowledge. You’d think I’d have a decent handle on some stuff since I have two cats at home. However both are young, healthy, and live almost exclusively indoors, and as a result I haven’t really needed to learn much beyond the basics of animal care. They might not stay that way forever though, and I’m grateful for all the things I’m learning. A lot of it is pretty interesting too. Read the rest of this entry »
